08 Development of Idea

1&2. Mind map/Video Discussion Notes

Who: I will aim my media product at 16 to 20 year olds. The shorter video will be presented by me and the longer one will be me and Carter.

What: My idea will consist of me posting a short recommendation video lasting no more than five minutes and not exposing any of the key plot points but giving a score out of ten, possibly stating if certain episodes are slow or slightly boring near the start of the show. I will then release a second video which is around twelve minuets where another presenter who has seen the show and I review the series in more depth and explain endings or things that may be confusing to some viewers, talk about characters and what we think of the season as a whole.

Why: I see a gap in the TV show review market specifically Netflix original TV shows, because my idea will be different and more effective than others that I have seen on YouTube etc. As other review videos I have seen don't vary the number of presenters, the lengths of their videos or the content. They do a single video on the topic of a certain series before moving on, so I think that because I have varied mine this will appeal to a lot of people weather they watch both videos or just the one they think better suits them if for example they have already seen the show they don't need to watch the recommendation video but they may be drawn to the review.

Where: I will post all my reviews on the YouTube media platform.
