What I Discovered

I learnt that the demographic of people I am aiming my project at 16-20 year olds, both male and female, at school/work. The psychographic factors are they are interested in Film specifically Netflix TV shows, enjoys watching YouTube, values the opinions of people of a similar age. They said usually watch YouTube videos for up to twelve minuets before clicking off of the video, even if the topic interests them. They put a large value on the quality on how the video is presented, I gave them three options the first was a short video briefly recommending the TV show, a more in depth review of the show explaining major plot points etc, or both in single or separate videos.
They cohesively chose the separate video option, also stating that they would be inclined to return for the in depth review of the show if they were previously recommended to the TV show by my recommendation video. Some of the questions I asked in the focus group related to the presenters of the videos, they said that they would like one presenter in the brief recommendation video as they wanted this to be quick no longer than five minuets, but in the review they thought it better to have two or three presenters so the video can go on for longer while still being interesting and also meaning that it is more like a conversation than me just talking to the camera. I also agree with these ideas, I found in my secondary research that one presenter was interesting enough for up to five minutes but after that an additional presenter is required.

What I Will Do As A Result Of My Findings

I will make sure to release my first video briefly recommending a certain show, having it no longer than five minuets, I will then rate the show and say if it is worth watching also including episodes that may seem boring or slow in the start of the show and explaining that the are necessary etc.
I will then follow up this video with a second related to the same TV show which will consist of me and another presenter that has seen the film reviewing it properly referring to important plot points and aspects of the show that are particularly interesting. As well as explaining things that may have seemed unclear by the end of the story, this will be around 10-15 minuets long.
